Genesis Desktop is built by Faith Inc — a small, family-run software company in Lethbridge, Alberta.
We wanted to hand our kids a computer — not the internet.
Like most parents, we kept hitting the same wall: computers are wonderful for children, and the internet attached to them often isn't. Filters blocked too little. Timers caused fights. "Kid modes" were thin paint over the same distractions.
So we built the computer we wished existed: a complete desktop where every book, song, game and website was placed there on purpose — by a parent. No ads. No algorithms. No open doors.
Today Genesis Desktop runs in family living rooms and school computer labs alike. It's still made the same way: by a small team that answers its own phone, guided by the belief that childhood deserves protecting.
